The potential of agricultural crops is very large, but there are problems in the Pati district is about calculation of rice production. This study was taking the theme of remote sensing imagery for land suitability analysis as a basis for estimation of rice production in Pati regency, with the purpose of: (1) it can determine the ability of remote sensing imagery for parameter mapping or variable constituent of the rice land suitability that is slope, climate , slopes, (2) it can map the suitability of land for rice and rice production estimate based on the suitability of the land, and (3) it can test the accuracy of the estimation of rice production which is based on land suitability. The method of this reaserch is matching method which is the level of suitability of land in the region connected with Pati the feasibility of soil type and plant species suitable for planting rice there, so that the matching method can facilitate researchers to estimate the annual rice production. Test validation of the results of the comparison between the results of the image of the rice production of rice production from the field 94,8 %.

Penelitian ini mengangkat tema tentang citra penginderaan jauh untuk analisis kesesuaian lahan sebagai dasar estimasi produksi padi di wilayah Kabupaten Pati, dengan tujuan : (1) dapat mengetahui kemampuan citra penginderaan jauh dalam memetakan parameter atau variabel penyusun kesesuaian lahan padi yaitu lereng (topografi), iklim, lereng, (2) dapat memetakan kesesuaian lahan untuk tanaman padi dan mengestimasi produksi padi berdasarkan kesesuaian lahan tersebut, dan (3) dapat menguji ketelitian hasil estimasi produksi padi yang disusun berdasarkan kesesuaian lahan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian estimasi produksi padi berdasarkan kesesuaian lahan dengan menggunakan metode matching yang mana tingkat kesesuaian lahan yang ada di wilayah Kabupaten Pati di hubungkan dengan tingkat kelayakan jenis tanahnya serta jenis tanaman padi yang cocok untuk ditanami disana, sehingga dengan metode matching tersebut dapat memudahkan peneliti untuk mengestimasi produksi padi pertahunnya. Uji validasi dari hasil perbandingan antara hasil produksi padi dari citra dengan hasil produksi padi dari lapangan 94,8%.
